Enhanced Eye Examination
Your NHS eye examination covers the essentials, but our Enhanced Eye Examination gives you even more insight into your eye health.
This includes Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), a state-of-the-art scan that lets us see beneath the surface of your retina. It’s quick, comfortable, and can detect changes long before they affect your vision.
Many of our patients choose this for peace of mind, knowing that their eyes are being monitored with the latest technology. The NHS covers your standard exam; the OCT element carries a small additional fee.

Macula Screening
The goal of macular screening is to detect macular disease at the earliest possible stage. In cases of wet AMD, this allows for fast-track referral and timely treatment. For individuals with dry AMD, or those at risk of developing it, screening provides an opportunity for education on modifiable risk factors and regular monitoring. By combining cutting-edge technology—such as ultra-high-definition retinal imaging and optical coherence tomography—with our clinical expertise and decades of experience in diagnosing and managing macular disease, we help keep your eyes as healthy as possible. If you are concerned about your macular health, or if macular disease runs in your family, macular screening is the ideal choice for you.
Glaucoma Screening
We combine our extensive clinical expertise with state-of-the-art diagnostic technology to deliver a detailed and comprehensive eye examination. This assessment considers your general health, family history, and ocular findings, allowing us to accurately determine your risk of developing glaucoma and to create a personalised monitoring plan aimed at ensuring the earliest possible detection. If glaucoma is diagnosed or suspected , we will arrange a prompt referral to a glaucoma specialist to discuss appropriate treatment options and ongoing management.
